Dr Mani Vadari founded Spark Summer Internship Program, a Washington State non-profit company to focus on creating internship opportunities for high school kids in the greater Seattle area. Mani has a deep passion in mentoring people of all ages and has decided to channel that passion to working with various entities in the greater Seattle area to provide a broad range of internship opportunities to high school students.
An IEEE Fellow, electricity industry visionary, and leader, Dr. Mani Vadari delivers strategic services to a global set of utilities, vendors, and service providers seeking deep subject matter expertise in setting the business and technical direction to develop the next-generation electric/energy system. Dr. Mani Vadari has a multi-year track record of delivering value on a wide range of technology and business solutions.
Dr. Mani Vadari leads a team of experts to deliver complex and innovative technology, business, regulatory, and finance solutions. Mani brings over 35 years of experience delivering business and technical solutions. Mani is also an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, and an Adjunct Professor at Washington State University. Mani has published two popular books, “Smart Grid Redefined: Transformation of the Electric Utility” and “Electric System Operations – Evolving to the Modern Grid, 2nd edition”, and has authored over 100 industry papers, articles and blogs. Mani also serves on the Board of WhyGreen.
Mani is a sought-after industry speaker and a member of several industry boards. Mani is an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). Lastly, Mani is founder, and board member of Seattle’s Hindu Temple, and founded 3 non-profit companies – Girls Rock in Science & Math, House of Kala, and SPARK
