CHIPS / Semiconductors - GaN / AlGaN - Technical Writing

Description:
Suited for students who want to learn about semiconductor physics, materials and devices, and how they go into technology. The student will read research papers, industry document such as white papers and play a role in developing a technical document in the areas of GaN / AlN /SiC and related materials. Excellent writing and/or technical drawing skills are required. This project has weekly deadlines and requires frequent meetings with the team. Writing and developing documents is a major component.
The student should have access to a major library facility if remote. In general, students are able to access the libraries of many public universities in-person.
This project is part of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council Summer Internship.
Qualifications Required:
Suited for students with ability to work on math problems at the level of AMC 12 and/or AIME.
Alternatively, students should have excellent writing skills in English.
Ability to read papers and summarize findings in a clear manner.
Ability to write reports.
Good writing and technical drawing skills.
Research Component:
This involves reading research papers and white papers apart from books.
Location:
Seattle, WA and remote.

Eligibility:
High school students currently in grades 9-12 in the USA can apply.
AP Calculus/AP Physics or equivalent coursework.
