Quantum - Technical Writing

Description:
Suited for students with excellent writing and/or technical drawing skills of importance to developing technical documents. The student will mainly work on proofreading and editing a draft version of problems involving math and coding in the context of textbook on quantum mechanics. This project has weekly deadlines and requires frequent meetings with the team.

This project is part of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council Summer Internship.

Qualifications Required:

Suited for students with ability to work on math problems at the level of AMC 12 and/or AIME.

Alternatively, students should have excellent writing skills in English.

Ability to read papers and summarize findings in a clear manner.
Ability to write reports.
Good writing and technical drawing skills.

Research Component:
This internship focusses on technical writing by learning an advanced topic and building skills that will move the student towards research. In cases with exceptional talent in math/physics, the student will have an opportunity to work on a research topic.
Location:
Seattle, WA and remote. Remote students require access to a library in a university.

Eligibility:

High school students currently in grades 9-12 in the USA can apply.
AP Calculus/AP Physics or equivalent coursework.
